What happens when you like someone that's not of the same sexual orientation?

You obsess over their possible homo/bisexuality that doesn't exist, and if you really like them, you get depressed or stalkerish.

 

You crush on them and then move on. It can be tough crushing on straight people, you just have to try and distract yourself and move on, as you know that nothing will ever happen.

 

I eat icecream and distract myself with my celebrity crushes.

 

Stalk them, befriend them, manipulate them into liking you, sleep with them, dump them and move onto the next victim

Nothing, usually.

 

You're screwed

I agree with a previous post, nothing usually. It can be rather difficult to do nothing about it but there is always the fear of what will the person do if you ever told them and to me, that fear is usually what causes the nothing to happen.

 

Try hard to refrain from acting like a moonstruck calf around them every time you see them, until the infatuation passes.

If they are not of the same sexual orientation, obviously nothing happens between you. Honestly, your best option is probably trying to find something to distract yourself away from them until your crush ends. If you stay focussed on them and hope for the impossible relationship, you're not going to do anything but hurt yourself.

The question asks what happens if you like someone that's not of 'the same' sexual orientation.

So, if you were a bisexual female and you fancied a lesbian, well, you're different sexual orientations, HOWEVER those sexual orientations are compatible.

BOOM.

Oh no I am most definitely not a lawyer. I tried to do it for AS level at school, wound up getting a D...so I dropped it. Haha.

I'm in a relationship like that right now, though. I'm a bi girl and my bf is straight. like a boss
But if it's like, I like a straight girl, THEN there's a problem.
