    For all of you trivial holiday fans, today is the day that Texas signed its declaration of independence from Mexico. :grin: I'm not quite sure why I felt the need to share this haha.

    For the lolz, I'd reckon.

    Actually, it's weird how most people in Texas tend to remember battles more than anything else. Like right now is the anniversary of the Alamo siege and the 6th is the battle. And we've got Battle of Flowers to remember San Jacinto, yet the actually independence isn't really remembered much. Probably because it was in some cabin in the middle of nowhere, pretty (Brazos River, not sure if there was even a town there) and the US did the same thing already, as did Mexico. So maybe that's why.

    Or maybe because guns and bombs are more interesting that signing papers. It is Texas.
