I was just wondering, why does EC seem so alive, but the chatroom seem so dead. Am I just on at the wrong time? Is there a reason people don't go on it?
I go onto the chat every blue moon and when I do there's like 2 other people in there not saying a word.
i used to go on all the time but i kept getting harressed one too many times so i stopped going on it.
We seem to have periods when the chatroom is really active then periods like now when the chatroom is quieter and the forum is active. I guess if there is enough stuff going on on the forums then people don't bother with the chatroom so much. It does seem that people check out the forum first then go into the chatroom if the forum discussions don't keep them occupied. If you want to use the chatroom it would be worth opening it in another tab and turning up the sound so you get a noise when someone else appears in there. You can go to that tab and start chatting straight away.
^I do what Paul said. And for those of you who don't use the chat room . . . use it! It's a good way to get closer to your fellow EC-ers. And if you've had a bad experience there before, the chat changes with the people, so I suggest you try again sometime.
I've never been on it. I guess that's a good thing, though. If no one's really on it, what's the point?
Well, I guess we aren't all on at the same time and obviously with the forums other people don't need to be online for you to post/say something. A lot of the time when I feel like going into the chatroom it's empty, so I just assumed that it doesn't get used often.
