    Your best friend is dead because you were ignorant.
    Your best friend is dead because you killed him.
    We know you didn't mean to, don't worry.

    But he's still dead.

    He's dead because he was gay, and now you have to stand up in front of his mother, a woman who used to make you cold drinks and sandwiches after practice every day, and tell everyone that you beat her son to death because you caught him on a date with another guy.

    Maybe you don't know how or why it happened...

    Maybe you were just trying to knock some sense into him...

    Maybe you knew that he was the same friend you'd played baseball with, the same friend you'd built forts with, the same friend you'd spent the night with and watched cartoons with.

    Maybe it just got out of hand...
    But the end is for sure: He's dead and it's your fault.

    its sad because things like that do happen. its sad people are so ignorant. watery eyes because it can and does happen. i am sad for the people it happens to and the ignorance in the world. society, gay people exsist. its time it realizs there is nothing they can do to change us and that we deserve the same rights as we are the same flesh and blood and our love is pure too.
