I hate it when some people refer to me as their "gay best friend." This video I found basically speaks my mind: I'm NOT Your Gay Best Friend! - YouTube What are your thoughts on the subject?
I dislike this, too. I don't get it now that I'm out of high school, but it was quite frequent then. I should just be your friend, full stop.
I remember my friend once saying, 'I wish you were gay so that you could be my gay-best friend'. She'd be so disappointed if she knew, because I hate shopping, etc. I'd suck at being a 'gay-best friend'...
Are you kidding? I LOVE it when my female friends call me their gay best friend, not too sure about it when guys do it though, only had a few guys say that anyway. I'm not too sure why I love it, I don't match up to the sterotypes and they all know it too. Other than liking dancing a lot I'm a straight guy who's gay, yet they still refer to me as their gay best friend. Because they know, maybe that's why I don't feel so harmed by it, I like it
well my 2 best friends are both girls and they sometimes joke about it, well when i first came out they were like yay always wanted a gay best friend but thats about the only time theyv said it. But im pretty much the sterotype gay best friend, i dont think im feminin but we go shopping way to often and have movie nights and i also have to listen to all the shit girls say to gay guys i get annoyed with that sorta stuff. But they love going to town with me because they love the gay club because they dont get hit on
