    From http://www.typicallyspanish.com/news/publish/article_14332.shtml

The church (it doesn't say which religion) conveniently linking child abuse and homosexuals again. :frowning2:

I would be very worried if this Bishop can be "provoked" into abusing children, too.

I'm pretty sure it's christianity, since the term Bishop and the usage of Christmas Eve are generally specific to that nowadays.

Well, another shining example of religious common sense.

*Asks self - "do some of these people in such positions actually have to study to achieve such bigoted and imbecilic views - or does it come naturally?*

I would rather have a bullet in the head take care of that man.

Just another reason to get rid of the cancer that is religion.

Bishop: The youth of today eh, skatboarding on the sidewalks, graffiti, doing drugs, answering back to parents, trying to get abused so their lives may possibly be ruined, they'll just never learn will they! Wasn't like that back in my day, when kids used to be scared of being abused...

Seriously, some people abuse religion so much, it's disgusting. Does he even hear himself talk sometimes? Next we'll hear about a court case where a rapist is set free because he claimed the victim wanted to raped.

Since when did homosexuality impose "problems" in past civilizations? The Greek empire triumphed under the pederasty practices. It's only when religion comes in, civilizations start to crumble.

I find it very disconcerting that he thinks CHILDREN can consent to sex. And that adults can be TEMPTED. So does he see the children under his care in a pastoral setting as TEMPTING him?? This is very distressing, and actually puts him in the similar mindset of an abuser. If there's something I hate, it's this - blaming children for their own abuse! Disgusting!!

And again, I have never understood the paedophilia/homosexuality connection that some people make - CONSENTING ADULTS anyone??????

(Plus, as we know, churches have no gays or child abusers)

    GRRRRRR!!!

Well as horrible as that is, the argument still falls apart, i mean like an adult should know better than to abuse a child even if the child is 'tempting'. God he sounds like such a pervert. He should join NAMBLA.

Its the Catholic Church I bet....

Yes, that man needs a well placed bullet...

But that does not mean all religion is cancer. Desmond Tutu is also religious, but he rocks. Try not to generalise.

That means he's a nice person. Not the religion as a whole.
