my wholeheartedly best friend/soul mate is totally straight. i don't particularly care for her fiancee, though he's not as bad as some of her former boyfriends. he's a little iffy about homosexuality, like he's put his foot in his mouth numerous times in the presence of homos. he does try to be nice. but he's really weird around me sometimes, like he thinks i'm his competition for my friend's/his fiancee's affection. i feel like that's just weird. it's true that she wishes i were a man and we could live happily ever after, but that's not how it is. so why does he have to make everyone feel awkward with overthetop displays of manliness? does anyone else notice this with straight friends' partners (presumably of your opposite gender)?
