I sure wish I knew. I've always known I wasn't hetero but for the first time in my life I've had ridiculously strong feelings for a particular person. And I don't even know them. Generally this stuff... it's fleeting and I get over it, but it won't go away. I guess my advice is to see the signs in them when you interact. Stuff like eye contact or lack thereof and caring extra about what you're saying.
