That is a rather bizarre course. I can't imagine ever going to a lesson like that.

    I think that's dumb.

That's like trying to teach someone how to be black :/!

It's like we've become a sub-race to human now. There's no class on how to be a human, but there's a class on how to be gay?

I think everyone has their own nature, and they don't have to learn how to act as to be the person that they already are.

    READ THE PAGE!

It's a class for gay men on gay culture, identity, and stereotypes, NOT a class for straight people to learn to become gay!

Maybe they should give the class a different title. Some right-wing nutcake will pick right up on that and think we are recruiting again.

I love how Becky associates herself as just one of the gang! It's great!

I've certainly never heard of this topic being addressed at the university level, but then there are all kinds of things taught at the university level that I'm sure I'm not aware of - and that doesn't make any it wrong.

Have you ever read a university syllabus? There are courses on tons of cultures and subcultures. There are women's studies too... which certainly doesn't suggest that women are a 'sub-race'. University is a time to explore and learn without it being entirely practical. Practicality comes when you're out working!

I think I'd take it, mainly out of curiosity. So, is that mainly just a course for gay males? It sounded like it wasn't for straights, and I'm not sure if it's geared towards women, at all...

Geeze, MSU has intro GLBT classes? O_O Maybe I should transfer...

I go to a smaller college (2000-3000 students), so I don't think we'd get enough support to hold those kinds of classes. If I want to learn about GLBT stuff, I have to take Women's Studies classes (as i've heard they mention GLBT issues there).
