Do you know how to boil an egg?

of course. I am a morning waiter serving breakfast, and i've had to cook a few meals before. that is sad how many people are clueless to it though.

but i love to cook meat type foods tho cus i love meat and dnt paticularly like egg.

  5. I have no idea (^_^) mainly because we don't eat eggs, and hardly ever have them in our house. My mum is allergic to eggs hahahaha so we never just eat eggs, and never eat meals with large amounts of egg in it.

I wouldn't be able to answer "three minutes" when asked how long to boil an egg for. I just put a small amount of water and some eggs into this until it boils dry. My eggs turn out perfect!

Do you think we've gotten lazy?

    Lol, such a novelty...

I can't even turn the oven on. :frowning2:

I can make toast and stuff, but anything involving the oven/grill is a no go area. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    That's pretty shameful actually. :astonished:

LOL!!! It's SO funny that you should add this here Paul.

I in fact COULD NOT boil eggs! I tried, and when I went to eat one they were still a little soft inside (I had wanted them hard boiled). I though "My gosh - how pathetic is THAT!?!?!" Apparently I'm not alone though!

I can make hard boiled eggs, though they're not my preferred type of egg. I like making scrambled eggs in the microwave because from start to finish it only takes a couple minutes, and only dirties one bowl, making a great addition to breakfast.

Last time I boiled one I did it in the microwave.

Well, not actually in it. I'm not that stupid, lol.

I just boiled water in the microwave and then dropped an egg in. It didn't quite work since the egg split open a minute later, although it sure made some interesting shapes when the white seeped out into the hot water and set.

The only time I ever boil eggs is to put them in salads or for Easter eggs but I have to say, I cook them much longer than 3 minutes.

Well, I hate to admit it (especially after all my bad stuff in the kitchen - see my post about doing dumb things) but I only ever tried to boil two eggs in the microwave. I guess I am that dumb coz I overheard someone say you could and for how long.

They came out fine, but just as I put them in egg cups - they exploded, one straight after the other. Like bits of egg shell and tiny bits of egg everywhere. I got such a start coz they made a bang, and lol, I literally had egg on my face.

So I guess I can't boil an egg.

I can cook an egg, funnily enough my mum showed me how to only a few weeks ago. She told me that was what the original prupose of egg-timers were, that they were set to finish at 3 minutes to let you know when you egg is finished, although now they been taken by the board game industry
