Lifeline - by Papa Roach ~ Generally I'm not a big fan of music like this, but this song really resonates with me when I'm feeling down, probably because getting me to completely open up is nigh completely impossible, and the song is mostly about how we can seem so different on the outside in order to put up a front to the world.

I discovered this song when I was 18 or so, and (literally) hiding in the closet to avoid my wicked step-Father's nasty, vitriolic comments on how useless I was.
