dose any one live in florida? what are your fave hot spots and such... I live in florida and i like down town lake worth. (!)
I'm up in the Panhandle. The only good thing about being down here is the closeness to Universal Studios and Busch Gardens. I hate the weather here.
I've never been to Florida, but for a few years now, I've been trying to talk my family into going some winter to escape the cold up here. Unfortunately, with gas prices as they are, it doesn't look like its going to happen.
I was in Daytona Beach Nov. 2-4. Nononononono. lol I like Destin and the keys! The rest is kind of swampy. =/
We usually go there every once in a while to visit family. We usually go to all the theme parks and stuff. It's fun, but the 2-day drive isn't.:bang:
i was down there last week in palm beach for the weekend but i havent seen much of florida beyond palm beach, miami and orlando
I was thinking of Florida too. Mostly because of the book I'm reading; it's sunny, and it's so much better than the rain. Twilight, New Moon, and (now that I'm reading it) Eclipse, too, rocks! I want to visit Disney there!
Hey, I live in Florida. I live in Northeastern Florida, south of Jacksonville. I like it here, but my favorite place is probably Walt Disney World haha. I really love going there, but I also like Orlando as a whole...and St. Augustine. Then again, I haven't been to all that many other places in Florida despite the fact that I've lived here my whole life.
Ah, I can't pick just one part of Florida. I love how the major cities are all so different, bust smiler at the same time. My favorite part of the state is Sarasota County, and Siesta Key. It has a large gay community, the best crystal sand beaches and is close enough to Tampa that you have all the amenities of a large city. I also like Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Jacksonville, Miami Beach and parts of Miami, and Ft. Myers. The southern Keys are ok, but Key West is a little too touristy for me, and a bitch to get to. Don;t forget about Hallandale Beach, just north of Miami Beach (10 minute drive), it is the largest nude gay beach. Oh, and the best restaurant is Alabama Jacks in Key Largo, I would drive down there for lunch when nothing was going on, or when I had some overtime to kill. Absolutely the best Sea Food. I also like Polk county, as it reminds me of Alabama with it's redneck flair.. lol Worst part of Florida is anything between Plantation and Naples on I-75.
I lived in Citrus County for the past 6 years or so. I hate the big cities....everyone's too fake for me. And I don't particularly like the "redneck" areas either.... So I guess on a whole, I hate Florida, lol. My favorite places are in Nature; swimming in the Gulf, canoing in the rivers, etc.
Well, actually I'm going down to Orlando for Spring Break! So if Lake Worth is'nt too far away........
