I wanted to post this since I saw the other thread. A friend of mine showed me this. Each line will list an equality in descending order (i.e. the second line is related to the first line, the third to the second, etc.). When the number equals "cosmic", that's the end of the string of equalities. Here's a few examples to help you get the answer to the question: 1 = 3 3 = 5 5 = 4 4 = cosmic ----- 12 = 6 6 = 3 3 = 5 5 = 4 4 = cosmic ----- 9 = 4 4 = cosmic ----- 13 = 8 8 = 5 5 = 4 4 = cosmic ----- 76 = 10 10 = 3 3 = 5 5 = 4 4 = cosmic The question: what does cosmic mean? It might help you to answer why four is equal to cosmic too...
Each number "equals" how many letters it has when spelled out as a word, and the word "four" is the only number spelled with the amount of letters it represents (4). So if one were to repeat the pattern after reaching 4, it would be neverending with 4s after it. And I'm guessing everything will inevitably lead to four, but maybe not.
I think I got it. The answer's in a spoiler so I don't ruin the fun Spoiler Got it! The number on the right side of the equality represents the number of characters in the number of the left. ie. 5 = "five" = 4 (characters) Four is "cosmic" because the word "four" has 4 characters Edit: totally didn't see the posts above. haha :x
