Like, don't tell us what school you go to (for privacy reasons), but just what are the kinds of courses you'll be taking for 2012/2013. For example, I'm taking:

    Sociology of Education
    Sociology of Inequality
    Stats for Sociology
    Research Methods for Sociology
    Sociology of Gender
    Sociology of Globalization
    Survey of Sociological Theory

    Yup. Soc major :icon_wink

When the registrar actually releases our timetables and they fix my program's course selection issues, I'll let you know. [/rage]

Right now in the summer though, I'm taking an engineering math (vector/multivar. calc) and a psych course on human sexuality.

I think my location already gives that away, but I'm not going to bother to change it, lol. Anyhow, I'll be taking...

English 190 (Seminar): Literature & the Post-human—I'm super stoked for this class because judging from the title alone, I know I'm going to be reading some sci-fi literature. Also, the professors who teach sci-fi lit also tend to be the ones who are most open to the creative ideas and topics.

Ethnic Studies 175: Literature of Ethnic Movements—I'm not sure how to feel about this one. Though, I am happy about taking a class that diverges from the typical British/American literature!

LGBT Studies 146: Cultural Representations of Sexuality—To be honest, I'm taking this class because I'm told it's very easy; the assignments, in a nutshell, require me to talk about my feelings, and even though I'm not programmed to have those, I can easily make them up! I am interested, though.

Vietnamese 1A—I can already speak and read some Vietnamese, but I'm really excited to learn how to write my own language. Thankfully, Vietnamese uses the roman alphabet, so it won't be such a huge leap in terms of writing!

Thai 1A—A friend told me that since I can already speak a tonal language, Thai learning to speak Thai will be a bit easier. So, I'm just going to check it out and see if I like it!

If I do decide to take all these classes, I'll be in 23 units, but if not, I'm going to take 18. Still, I'm very excited for the coming Fall semester! It's also going to be my second-to-last!

I am a physics and math major, so my courses probably aren't too surprising.

    Major Courses:
    Advanced analysis
    Physics lab
    Thermodynamics and modern physics
    Electromagnetism
    Classical mechanics
    Methods of theoretical physics
    Special topics in math

    Fun courses:
    Band
German (I want to go to Germany for grad school)
Intro to philosophy (because every theoretical physicist has to have an opinion on philosophy)

Edit: This is over the course of the year, not all next semester, though I am signed up for 19 credits this fall.

Funny, I always thought it was the other way around. Or maybe that's just because my philosophy prof thinks he has disproved the special theory of relativity with a thought experiment.

  12. History of Ancient Philosophy
Special Topics in Philosophy of Science: The Philosophy of Physics

    REALLY excited about these
The second one is a five hundred level class so it's probably going to be tough, but I am absolutely beside myself about how amazing and interesting my classes will be.

I'm not a philosophy major or anything... /sarcasm

Not sure what I will be taking in the winter trimester, but most of the classes I'm taking in the fall are ones that I need to get out of the way.

    1. Chemistry
    2. Chemistry lab
    3. World History since the renaissance
    4. Principles of integrated marketing
    5. Newswriting (part of my major)

I'm a communication major and a political science minor.

I had the same exact class last year and loved it.

Also, your first two sound pretty fun.

    Organic Chemistry I + Lab = 4 credits
    Physics + Lab = 4 credits
Three social science courses = 9 credits

I want to get all of my social sciences out of the way so that my Spring schedule is not intense (Microbiology, Organic Chemistry II + Lab, humanities course, and an orientation class come to 12 credits in Spring).

French, Economics and a third subject. I'm torn between English Language, German, Spanish and Maths. Urgh, I want to take them all!

First year and I've not picked modules yet (in fact, my university offer hasn't even turned 'unconditional' yet, which means they haven't acknowledged my results meeting the conditions). I've looked at the modules, just can't remember right now. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

French. That's all I know so far. The rest is pretty up in the air, since I'm trying to figure out just what the hell I want to major in.

It says where I go to school in my profile, but congrats, you've narrowed me down to one of 51,000 people haha.

    - Mechanics of Solids
    - Engineering Design Graphics
    - Intro to Computer Methods
    - Elementary Mechanics of Fluids
    - Dynamics

W00t, the life of an engineering major... Honestly I think it'll be interesting.
