ok so i was in Chicago last week and i heard this song on the radio that i just feel in love with right away. it's called "She moves in her own way" by the Kooks. i just think it's great for some reason. i thought would get some feed back from their home country and maybe some other music suggestions from folks! if you've got a good what post it up!
Scissor Sisters! S Club 7! Mika! Steps! *he hum* I haven't heard of The Kooks in years. They seemed to be all over TV, then vanished just as quick as they appeared. I am a bit oblivious to the music world though if it isn't cheesy pop music.
"Oh, oh, I love her because she moves in her own way." It's been on the radio here for ages. It's listenable but not brilliant. I know my dad loves it. Have you heard their other single "Naive"? I reckon you'd like it.
I'm sick of it for the same reason. We have Wyvern FM on at work, and they seem to have the same repetitive 20 track playlist as Radio 1.
oh yeahs i think they are making a second album at the mo (dont really listen to them myself) however, for really good british music check out foals patrick wolf not british but amazing nonetheless animal collective (start off with feels easiest album to listen to) and M.I.A. she is pure genius
definately listen to "naive", again by the kooks, as pirateninja said. otherwise, the scissor sisters are awesome, or at least their first album was. i mostly listen to classics like cream tho so sorry i can't help much more.
Probably the whole Brit indie scene would appeal to you, then. It ranges quite heavily between things like Dartz!, with the bouncy sorta jangly upbeat madness, and the whole more straight out pop-rock with the Kaiser Chiefs. Can't say I'm a huge fan of the scene, except Dartz, but I'm biased with them.
