So I posted a picture on Facebook about the chick fil a thing, obviously speaking out against it, and In eight minutes five of my friends liked it. 4 of which I didn't know there stance on it. So finding out who your true friends and even acquaintances who are on your side, is a pretty epic feeling. Got another while I was writing. I should also mention I live in a very conservative town. if you have tried this what kind of response did you get?
I can agree with you on this. Some people from my former church posted positive stuff on Chick-Fil-A too. It really does help me figure out who would be good to come out too. All of my friends that are my age (-2) are pro gay. The two that are not have already told me that they were not going to talk to me until I "chose to be straight".
The last thing I posted on FB that was pro-LGBT was a status congratulating Obama on coming out in favor of marriage equality, and 28 people liked it. Only 3 of them came as surprises, but I agree with you, it is epic. And once I'm fully out of the closet, then I won't ever have to question again how someone feels about the issue.
Yeah, I'm technically out but not really because I didn't feel like writing a status so I just changed my interested in. Hopefully that and this are enough to give people the idea.
I never really wrote a status either. I changed my "interested in" and started sharing a ton of gay stuff. I think people have gotten the idea though.
That's where it's at! Haha! I just felt like since I'm in a volatile environment that it might be perceived as attention craving or the such. Which what I did was perceived as such by some old acquaintance. Guy was a douche anyway.
I'm really, really tempted to post this on my Facebook now. Except my friends are Canadian and probably wouldn't understand what Chick-Fil-A is.
Yay! I shared an article about Chick-fil-A and didn't get any responses. However it's strange because my Facebook was always peaceful and now it's blowing up because of this Chick-fil-A thing forcing people to take sides. One church friend who's a little older than me posted for Chick-fil-A and I saw someone taking the opposite stance in her replies. Whoo, I just woke up, I have alot to catch up on.
Personally I'm getting a liiiiittle tired of the Chick-Fil-A nonsense. It'd be nice if they could just go out of business already, and leave us all in peace.
