i'm really curious to know if the reason for the types of spam emails i receive is because the internet thinks i'm a man or if there are no spam emails geared toward women. does anyone ever get spam that's like, "enhance your boobs naturally!" or "find mister r1ght!"? mine is all "CANADIAN VIAGRA" and "hey its tatiana ".

    One I got:
"You feel should bad about yourself :frowning2:"
So of course, I opened it:
    "Get Viagra!"

I often get ones from rich princesses in Arabic countries looking for a hunky man to help spend their dolla billz... And ones from doctors in Arabic countries asking me to take their money.

This is Tatiana. Why don't you ever answer? You left your Canadian Viagra at my house. )':

I think that the Arabic doctors should spend their money on Viagra because they need it when dealing with Tatiana. She's a biter :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I get some of the same ones that you get... I also get ones that the subject line says "make your man parts bigger". It's kind of weird...

I just saw a story on the news around here about that. Apparently a lot of people responded to those emails here in central Ohio...

That may have been me - it seems a shame to have to pass up Boris' offer just because I have no money in the bank

Hahaha I'm cracking up at these responses. I always wonder who on earth would respond to anything so obviously spammy.

The trouble is, there is always someone desperate enough to want to believe in a 'genuine business opportunity', or 'free money', or whatever is on offer. If the scammer sends hundreds of thousands, or even millions of emails, just a 0.001% response rate will see them laughing all the way to the bank. Con artists have been around since the dawn of time - long before the internet - and people will always be taken in by them, even if deep down they know that if something looks too good to be true, then it almost always is.

LOLOLOL, I love this! "hey its tatiana "

the only thing I have about spam is the fact that the only possible way any person would have gotten my specific email address is off my school's website.... since I was an editor...so school made my spam box be filled with viagra "offers" >.<

Meh i always get loads of viagra and 'please your woman!!!' aka get a bigger penis spams. Ive always been quite tempted to send them a shirty email stating that as a woman these products dont interest me and could they at least spam my email with something appropriate to my gender. Though im always mildly concerned that is exactly what they would do lol.

My fav most recent spam was 'a woman near you earned $6,900 part time' didnt bother to open it just made me chuckle as ya know people local to me use pounds not dollars :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    I get...
those "work from home & make big $$" type
various forms of "women want to hook up with you"
    "Earn your degree online"
    and things like refinancing/home-repair/etc
Also get stuff directed towards both men and women

    ------
A number of years ago (back when I had dial-up internet access LOL) I would get up to 100 spams a day...sometimes I would get online only once or twice per week...and when going to check e-mail it would be...dial in...log on to email...walk away while 500+ emails downloaded to my computer...(I could then disconnect if I wished) and delete 99% of that email LOL.

The only spam email I get is "You appear to be trying to sell your Diablo 3 account - please log in here to confirm."

I've never even played Diablo 3!

Yep, I sometimes get emails exhorting me to buy Viagra or other drugs cheaply. I get quite a few having to do with working from home.

I'm kind of surprised at how my spam emails look less obviously "spammy" (i.e. symbols, numbers, alternating UPPERCASE and lowercase letters, and terrible spelling), though I might be mistaken as I don't care to read any of their titles anyway.
