I was kind of inspired by my lightsaber poll. I became curious what people would be if they were Force users too, so here we are! Honestly, I would be a light-sided Sith. I just know this is what would happen. Note: Please wait for the poll to be posted before replying. Thanks. ^^
Ok, dont judge me, but I was never really a Star Wars fan and was completely lost. But I did know enough to know that I am definitely a sith. I mean it IS the dark side :/.
I long to be a Jedi Knight, but my emotions rule stronger than they allow. That would probably make me a Grey Jedi. And the Galactic Senate has always held my interest, so if my midichlorian count wasn't enough to get me noticed by the Jedi, I'd go for being a Senator.
Gray Jedi for me. It's part of Star Wars "mythology," if you will. Extra stories written after (or before? not well-versed in it) the Star Wars films came out.
i'd want to be kind of both like Starkiller. he's not mentioned in the movies, only games (The Force Unleased 1&2). i thought he had a nice mix of light motives w/ dark power, making a brilliant Force fit. plus, the dual wield sabers w/ moves like Maul & Yoda were way rad :starwars: ---------- Post added 15th Aug 2012 at 10:32 PM ---------- so i guess, gray Jedi would be Starkiller's best description in TFU2.
I guess the best way I can describe it is with alignments. Jedi are Lawful Good. Gray Jedi are Lawful Neutral. Dark Jedi are Lawful Evil. Sith are Chaotic Evil. Gray Sith are Chaotic Neutral. Light Sith are Chaotic Good. Jedi always follow a code of some kind. Something that makes them honor-bound. A true Jedi, follows this code as intended. A Gray Jedi may deviate now and then, but still technically follows the code. A Dark Jedi uses the code and manipulates it to do as they please and benefit out of the results personally. Sith are all about self-satisfaction. They desire to get what they want in the fastest means possible, laws and honor be damned. Gray Sith are much like regular Sith, but when they can avoid needless destruction, they do. Light Sith are weird. They follow the light, but aren't nearly as disciplined or controlled as Jedi. They still draw power from their emotions, but they do so in order to help others and rarely act in a way that's selfish.
I'm not really aware of all that much of the Star Wars universe, but I thought that Jedi and Sith were not so much ethical orientations as they are about how you use the force. Of course, the Jedi are portrayed as good and the Sith evil, but in fact, the Jedi are about balance, righteousness and temperment while the Sith are about passion, strength and forcefulness. If my understanding is correct, I'd like to think I'd be a light Sith. I care a lot about people and what is right, but I don't believe in this balance and temperment bullshit. I believe in passion and being a crusader. Gotta crack some heads for righteousness. Also, sweet refs to D&D. So classic and outdated, but man do I love that game.
I'd rather be a straight-up Jedi, but preferably during Luke's New Jedi Order since his founded Order is much more lax on things like emotions, romance and balancing out light and dark in terms of the way the Force is used, which I like. Spoiler Luke is was married to another Jedi Master for goodness' sake. Plus, two words: Kyle. Katarn. 'Nuff said, right?
I see grey sith as being evil, but with a conscience. Think of it as the classic villain archetype. I'll describe it further I guess. A grey sith would be someone who acts on their own desires, but they're bound by their own conscience. The dark sith on the other hand, well, think of Tartarus from Greek mythology. Imagine (almost) dying of thirst and hunger every day while you're swimming in a pool of water surrounded by fruit trees. The fruit tree's branches would retract whenever you got close to them, and the water would recess whenever you went down to drink some. That's something a dark sith would do. For no reason. A grey sith would only do that with ulterior motives, not just for the sake of killing. Personally, I'd consider myself a grey sith.
I wavered between Gray Jedi and Light Sith, but ended up choosing Light Sith. I'm an incredibly undisciplined and often impulsive person, and feel chafed when I have to work in teams because I've always got my own ideas. My ultimate goal in life, though, is to do good. The culture of China, my country of origin, emphasizes honor and saving face, and those to me are just entirely too impractical and cause much more trouble than they're worth. Screw honor and "keeping up appearances".
Light Sith...so chaotic good. But wow Hot Pink, you've now turned the sith/jedi thing into 6 types. How on earth will we ever bring balance to the force LOL
