I hate it, but I'm pretty shallow. I really don't think I could.

That's not being shallow. That's knowing what you like.

Not like sumo-wrestler fat, but I'm OK with a few extra kilograms.

A bit overweight yes, I'd be a hypocrite if I said I wouldn't since I'm a bit overweight. I really don't find obese guys attractive, and probably wouldn't date one, but I won't say never.

No, but not due to attractiveness. I lead a VERY active lifestyle and want a partner I can share these activities with. A few extra pounds is no big deal though.

I don't mind stocky guys at all if they carry their weight well. There are many guys that might be considered medically overweight, but they're very fit and athletic (and cuddly!). I wouldn't date an obese person though. I can't say I'm attracted to obesity, and I don't see them sharing many of the same activities as me.

I can help them get at least back to being overweight from being obese. I can wait. (And a bit overweight is cute!)

No offense, but I have to comment on this.

Why the hell would anyone want to be with someone who just wants to change them?

And @ Earlier in the thread; That is indeed the definition of Shallow. That's like saying that saying no to someone because they have a disfiguring scar isn't shallow, just know what you like. That's what being shallow is. >_> I'm not calling someone shallow, simply pointing out a definition.

As for the topic at hand, as someone who is obese, I have no opinion either way, because topics like this never end well. They either turn into a hate thread about overweight/obese people, or a thread about how society is turning to hell because of the obesity rate.

And this is not in reference to anyone in this thread. This topic pops up every other month it seems, and every single time, it turns into a hate thread. It's ridiculous.
