Okay so remember last year i mentioned mensa? well the test is on sunday -.- me and anna are doing it together and im so scared, what if i do badly? arghhh so competitive so i must beat her ~ any ideas for some practice? Getting into mensa would be nice, but unfortunately in the UK you need an iq of 155 to get in where as in the USA it's 130 =/ I'm a 141 or so when i took the test last year so hopefully i've improved.... Helpz!:tears:
awww, ty (*hug*) don't take it too seriously. if you have a higher IQ than her you will beat her, if not you won't. there's little you can do to change that, unless you give her arsenic just before the exam try and remember that this kind of test is pretty irrelevant to careers, grades, or anything, and it only tests one kind of IQ. there are so many sides to intelligence, don't feel bad if you can't quite match up to their definition of "clever enough" in this tiny area. and also remember that you're already doing much better than most people. Good Luck. Tell us how it goes. I suggest doing crosswords/sudoku that you haven't done before it will get your brain working a bit better. but i realli don't know
Ok so the test is in 3 hours so im off to go revise and read etc ~ Wish me luck I'll be back around 4/5pm English time sooo hopefully I should have the results by then >..> Try not ta miss me x
hehe - well - I have done 3 tests and have scored 138, 136 and 140 - so, if I was really worried about it, I might have just scraped in. (I think it was 140 when I would have been looking at it - and my last test was only a couple of years ago). Anyway - good luck - and even if you don't get it - just keep on sharpening your mind with all the type of questions/puzzzles that fall into that realm and you'll make it at some stage.
Okay Im back from the test ~ wow that was tiring! Some of the questions were really weird :S Question Six 1.) A goes to the river to kill himself because he has run out of money. For what reason did he decide to not kill himself in the end?
