Quick Little Question :D

Well I have fallen madly in love with my straight best friend who's femme for many, many years. Other than that, I always seem to crush on straight girls only. I think it's probably interrelated that I like femmes and 99% of femmes are straight, so that leaves me always falling hopelessly for the straight ones. So far the lesbians that I've met at my school have either been really butch or the chapstick/androgynous type but unattractive.

But in the end, I still can't get over my friend. And I feel like all I'm ever going to have are futile crushes on straight girls anyways.

I don't like straight women that much. I LOVE them as friends and I can think of them as attractive easily, but I just can't be actually attracted to them. Once I know a girl is gay their attractive usually sky-rockets. I like femme's but every once in a while a tomboy/butch will catch my eye.

 

I seem to have a filter about straight girls. Unless I know a girl is queer, I don't generally find myself with feelings beyond "she's hot" for her.

 

It's hard to say because I've rarely met any other lesbians in my life, but I usually crush hardest on them when they are around

Can have crushes on straight girls, but they aren't as powerful.

More attracted to tom boys than femme, unless it is a femme with a more androgynous attitude/vibe, then yeah, check mate.. But definitely more drawn into androgynous or "butch" (ugh that word) women, in comparison to femme.

Sum it all up, all of the above yes but at different intensities.

I like butches. A list of options that has "femme" and not "butch" is sadly incomplete. Tomboy does NOT mean the same thing.

And must everyone keep using femme for straight girls? It's a queer word, and feminine cisgender straight girls are not queer.

i think i fall into the femme-butch stereotype. im femme and mostly like butch women, but that doesnt exclude all of the options you put. i can find many different women attractive

all women regardless of orentation/labels e.t.c are nice to look at :3

I was going to say I'm more attracted to feminine women, though while this is still true, I have to say I really admire that girl in the video above and what she says. One doesn't choose who they are attracted to but one certainly chooses who they hang around with!! Kinds of opens my mind to butch women and ftm transmen too, or at least to the idea.

 

If I had to define the women I'm attracted to in terms of femininity and masculinity, I'd say I'm most attracted to androgynous girls, although I don't necessarily have one "type."

When it comes to women, my tastes run unequivocally towards the butch. Incidentally, all of the butches I know are queer. It is the extremely rare femme that catches my eye, Alpana Singh being the notable exception.
