What is your age limit for partners?

Discussion in 'Chit Chat' started by SriManayaDasan, Sep 4, 2012.

  1. Just wondering, what is the oldest in which you would prefer your partner to be?

For me, I can easily see myself being with someone twice my age; however, only for short-term. For long term relationships, I would still prefer someone older, but maybe no more than 5 years.

I've been casually talking with a much older man (47) through a certain phone app and I think he is an interesting guy. He travels the world a lot. I plan on meeting him up for coffee in the near future.

I'd go 5 or 6 years older, max. I wouldn't date anyone more than 2 years younger than me. :I

Never really thought about it... But I suppose I could go for anyone in college (including grad) were I not in a relationship. But that's not gonna change.

Plus or minus 4 years is what I'd ideally hope for. But I also realize you can't always help who you fall in love with.

I'd say no more than 5 years older. I want to be able to grow old with someone close to my age. It's a bit unrealistic thinking that just because someone is older they will die sooner, but whatever.

More or less this. I would be willing to be in a relationship with someone older if I fell in love with them, but otherwise I would much prefer to stay near my own age. I want someone I can discover life with, not have to catch up to in terms of experience.

Anyone older or younger isn't appealing to me for a long term relationship.

10 years older than me I guess, dating someone younger than me would feel too weird since I'm still 18.

I would prefer someone who is around the same age as me or up to 8 or 10 years older than me.

18-21. I'm 19, approaching 20. One year and some change younger and one year and some change older is fine with me. I want us to both be on 90-95% of the same level in our lives. I don't feel like "the mentor" in a relationship or the "mentee." Though, sometimes I have fantasies about an older woman taking me under her lesbian wing and teaching me all I need to know about being with women. By that I mean having lots of sex with me and teaching me how to pleasure others for the future. Definitely not relationship fantasies. Just me freaking out about my first time that has yet to come. I don't want to be bad, so I make up elaborate day dreams of someone older and more experienced tutoring me in the art of lady-lovin'. Pretty hot.

Anyway, off topic. As far relationships go, long term or short term, I'm sticking by 18-21.

XKCD standard creepiness rule! Don't date under (age/2)+7, or over 2(age+7)
