    Look back into the past!

Find a historical event that you want to change; you can either change the outcome or make it not happen at all!

What would this "event" be for you?

i would go and find the person chopping up the monkey corpse in africa and stop them from contracting HIV to prevent the patient zero case... (then give him/her 30+ years of research on it to pass on, if that's allowed... screw causality)

Too many horrible things have been committed by humankind for me to be able to choose only one without feeling terrible. The Holocaust? Prop 8 passing? The Rwandan Genocides? :frowning2:

Uh, helloooooo. Nothing! Haven't you guys EVER watched any movie involving time travelling? ANY little thing could drastically change the future, and to remove such a large historical thing? That could POTENTIALLY lead to a even bigger disaster! Gaaahhh!

...But if I had to pick something, I'd also do the thing with preventing AIDS.

I'd change the event where I get given the chance to change an event so that I am given the chance to change as many events as I wanted. Then I'd spend my life making the world fabulous!

I believe you mean 2000 elections, as he did not win any 2001 elections.

Anyways, presuming the gospels tell a vaguely historical account, I would have the Roman governance of Israel decide not to execute Jesus of Nazareth, thus preventing any miraculous resurrection story from arising which would lead to the rise of Christianity and by extension Islam.

Having the Mauryan Empire last longer after Ashoka's death, creating a situation more like China in India (a strong, unified nation) would certainly be good as well. As would having the Byzantine-Sassanid war in the early seventh century never occur, thus allowing them to restrict Islam to the Arabian peninsula.

Having the Celts generally be able to resist the Roman and Germanic invasions of their lands would be nice too, but that isn't really one historical event that can be changed.

I would have the anarchists crush the Franco counter-revolution in Spain.

My first response would be to stop Hitler and the Nazis from murdering and torturing 11 million people.
