As a cross country runner I prefer cardio, specifically running by a lot, but I was talking to a friend of mine who's a football player and he tried telling me that after you lift weights you feel great (I never lift weights). I'm just curious which you prefer.

I realize every type of exercise may not fit neatly into both categories, so when I say weight lifting I mean anything with the purpose of building muscle, and cardio... well anything with the intent of increasing cardiovascular ability.

I think I like cardio more, but I do lift weights as well.

Weight training definitely gives me more of a post-workout high than cardio. I enjoy it a lot, and I've been making a point to work out with a friend, but it gets in the way of climbing for me. I love trail running and cycling, but any other type of cardio is rather boring to me.

Definitely cardio, because for my body type I naturally have lean muscles, I think its just easier.

I cant be bothered lifting weights, im so lazy! But I need to do it :S

I am a foil fencer, so it's no contest. Weights are useless to me, so it's all cardio. There's never a time I feel wonderful after weightlifting. After a four or five mile run though I feel like I'm on top of the world afterwards.

I voted cardio. However, when I work out I basically do more intensive interval so I'm not really running or doing traditional cardio. It's more of a combo between cardio and muscle building. :/

I voted cardio because I like to run. After 7 kilometres it just feels divine... Like elixir flowing in your veins. But I've never lifted weights, and ergo never felt that post-lift high so I suppose I'm biased.

I do both several times a week, but I guess I'll say I enjoy weight-lifting more. Lots more naked man flesh in a weight room than running down the road.

Cardio. I love running, I try to go out and do it as much as I can. Although, I've never tried lifting.

I don't want to gain muscle so weightlifting is a no, no for me. Aslo, it's not very fun.

I also like cardio more. My gym is usually way overcrowded in the weights section. And Im starting to like running more and more.

Weight lifting is less boring to me and I get results much more quickly, but I try to do a healthy balance of both. :c

Cardio is so much better than weightlifting. The feeling you get when you run for a couple of miles and just want to keep running is amazing. Weightlifting is boring.

I picked weight lifting. Cardio can get pretty boring but I do enjoy it.

Definitely cardio. I can handle it better than weight training. I gave up Starting Strength training program within a month - it's too intense for me >__<

I'll take cardio any day of the week over weightlifting.
