Are there more Gay guys than Lesbians?

There's been a discussion on it Here. Personally I think that gay men are more vocal about it. I mean, two women can go out without looking conspicuous, but when two men go out together, it looks a bit sus. Therefore, we notice gay men more

 

More lesbians then gay guys

 

really? i heard that it was about 1% of females and 3-4% of males that were gay. thus, there should be more gay guys right? this isnt counting bisexuals which i dont know the statistics of.

 

I would have to say there are probably more gay guys, from what I've seen at least.

 

I know quite a few lesbians and bi girls. But I know more gay and bi guys. But thats just me.

 

I know WAY more Lesbians and Bi women... Where are all the boys at?

 

I know 2 bi girls and a gay guy. From being here, however, there seems to be more gays than lesbians.

 

Statistically there should be more gay guys.

statistics show that there are more gay men then lesbians. I think it outnumbers it is a 1:4 ratio!! It has to do with cultural and societal differences.

Women have a different way of thinking, then men which is why there might be the difference. The whole psychological issue is very complex.

 

I met a real life lesbian yesterday She was nice.

I think girls are more suttle than guys. Thats why there seem to be more gays than lesbians.

 

We definitely have more guys on EC. However, in my work with PFLAG, it seems to be about even.

 

Understandable though, since many of our members are referred here when being banned at a gay porn site. The balance of gays to lesbians here isn't representative.

Quality over quantity comes to mind here.

 

I remember reading something at some point about how men were more likely to be either gay or straight because, as cavemen, they did the "seeking" for a partner and would "seek out" the gender they preferred. However women were supposedly the ones being "sought" and, thus, were more likely to lean towards bisexuality, because they could accept any "offers" they got from anyone. I think some scientists did a study on it, but I'm too lazy to go find the/an article about it. I guess it sort of makes sense, though. *shrugs*

 

I think that usually lesbians tend to hide out a little longer than gay guys -> therefore the significant difference in amounts seen.

 

Maybe I should go to a lesbian porn site and recruit some underage members. :roflmao:

i suppose it's easier to pretend if you're a woman, since most men can't tell even when their straight girlfriends are faking it :eek:
