for an english project have to do, I have to wirte on the topic of intolerance, and of the many choices there were, such as Ethnic cleansing and Nazi regime- I chose gay/lesbian harassment. I knew i wanted to to do this subject, cause come on! Of course, i might be asked why I, a male, wanted to write on this subject. but then, i'll say, "so what?"!

say, i should mention Emptyclosets.com as a reference!

If you included statistical information for this paper, you could use us as a random sampling of GLBT persons.

Yeah, I'm always up for a good poll! :icon_bigg

And mentioning EC would be cool! You may actually help bring a few people out of the closet in your own classroom that you don't know about!

and you could use us as a demonstration that we're exactly like other people. Same interests, beliefs etc, only difference is our sexuality

Dunno 'bout a poll here, might be a bit skewed.

But awesome job on picking a topic! It'll be fun for you. Well, as fun as it can be. Might be a bit sad. ><

While I'm sure that these statistics were accurate at some time, I don't believe that they hold as much accuracy 16 years later.

Taken directly from the bottom of the page

"* Testimonies are from the public hearings conducted by the Massachusetts Governor's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, 1992. Governor William Weld, R-MA. "

Plus most of those statistics are a little unnerving, I'd like to think that they would be different now

I think that using EC as a reference would be a great idea!
You just might want to take down pics of yourself just incase somebody from ur school checks it out.
