    Hey Guys,

I was thinking being gay is so much harder than being straight... That is in my opinion, Its not so much that i would change it if i could because its such a fundemental part of who i am but it does not mean i have you like it you know?

So that question is do you like being gay? or do you wish such a thing did not exist?

    Catch

20 years ago (when I was still closeted) I would have said NO.

Now I am out, have a partner and some great gay friends, and am completely comfortable with who I am, it's a definite YES.

I know life will be "harder", but the idea of being in a relationship with a man appeals to me much more than with a girl. The idea of having a guy wrap his arm around me, of a chest I can lean into, not having boobs get in the way (I like being closer) is just something that appeals to me. So, yes, I do like being gay, even if it might make certain aspects of my life harder.

Yep, without a doubt. Of course our lifestyle is going to be a lot harder, without stating the obvious reasons, but I seriously would not change it for anything.

It's who I am. It can make me feel a bit down at times, but even straight people can feel insecure about themselves.

Even though i have not told any close family or friends, it is still not something i would change. The more we are happy with who we are the stronger we become in being recognised and being accepted.

yeah but i think relationships are hard in general. not that i really have a frame of reference, but i dont think being straight necessarily makes it easier.

most of the guys i like are gay!!!:eusa_doh:

    Gay bad or good?
    yay __________________________ nay
    it's who i am__________________________people hate it
    makes me different____________________makes me outcast
don't like boobs______________________if i were straight i would like boobs
makes me happy_____________________also depressed, anxious, fearful
i like to be gay______________________ nasty stereotype i do not follow
makes me tolerant___________________ life wold be easier
_________________________________ i would be closer to dad
__________________________________ i can have MY own kids
__________________________________ i would have had many GFs
    ___________________________________normal life
    _________________________________nothing to worry about (sexually)
_______________________________ wouldn't have to come out if straight
_______________________________i might like football if straight

I guess i could go on with nay, but no matter how long the nay list is, the yay list probably always will outweigh it.

Sometimes it's quite comforting. Makes me different, somewhat. It seems an odd reason, but it's a right one.

i said no... if i were straight, it would be much simpler :frowning2: on the other hand, i wouldn't change myself, because the only way to be happy is to be yourself. i just wish that i was not gay in the first place. if that makes sense
