I think the third gender is classified as different from female or male. Some places have a law and u can choose the "third gender" it's very interesting actually. They feel as though they don't match female or male or are confused so they choose the third gender which is neither gregorygorgeous on YouTube made a video about this, very good, you should watch it hope I helped!
