Alright do you think it is hiding yourself if you give compliments to the opposite or same sex or whatever. I know some people think this is a way to act straight but I do it all the time just to be kind. Your opinions?

In my school it is. If you are kind to anyone your are marked as gay because of that. They are stuck up here considering everyone has a car and complains they can't find parking when i set here saying I wish i got my bike tire wasn't always flat lol.

That is how it is here. I was raised differently so i compliment everyone who deserves it.

I try not to compliment people on physical features, because attractiveness is something which you cannot control. For example, I am ugly as hell. I do compliment people on their intellects, because you can control that--not completely, but partially. I assume that by compliments, you mean those relating to sexual attractiveness.

Depends on the compliment. I don't give them often, but when I do, they aren't regulated. My compliments spew out of my mouth before I can think about them. With women though, the only compliment I can give is, "hey, you look pretty today" "your hair looks awesome" shit like that. With men, I'll say "you look so handsome" (one time I said that, we were standing in a group full of other guys and a kid I hadn't seen in a while walked into the circle) or i'll go deeper into that and tell them they are sensitive or really nice etc etc. I never worried if I would come off gay when I give my compliments.

Well-placed compliments are appropriate. If people don't know how to deal with chivalrous behavior, that's their loss.

I give compliments all the time.
But, I have an extremly hard time accepting them, even if I'm really proud of something that I've done. As accepting them for how I look...I blush and think that they are lieing.
