Alright EC, I have a task for you... I want you all to take ten minutes and think about 10 things you want to do before you croak. It doesn't have to be gay, just something you want to do. Maybe at the end of this, we can consolidate all of our lists into "Our Big Gay Bucketlist" More about that later. For now, I'm going to take a pencil, paper, and ten minutes out of my life, put them together and see what I can come up with.... readysetGO!!!!
Ok here goes: Write a novel, even if it never gets published. Go skydiving Bungee jumping Get a girlfriend (where the love is mutual) Learn all the words to both the RENT and Sweeney Todd soundtracks Learn to play my guitar Go to Sweden Go to Gay Pride Go quad biking And for my last one... I want to paint a public mural. Not sure what of... but something.
Here goes. Finish my book and get it published Have an art exhibition Finish High School with Honours Get into Uni Complete a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Degree Become an oncologist Move to the UK or France for a while Go to the Sydney Mardi Gras Meet someone who likes me for me Become the ruler of the universe Okay, I know some of them aren't probably going to happen. And I know at least one of them won't. But I would love to do any one of those things. I have goals. I like having goals.
And following on from the last 2 people "Here goes": 1: See IRON MAIDEN!! (oh that ones a given) and other awesome bands. 2: Learn guitar. 3: Get a sick car. 4: Get a good job... >_> 5: Find a person I love. 6: Lose virginity. 7: Get OVER NINE THOUSAND posts here. 8: Complete all my video games. 9: Not sure what to put here. >.> 10: And for my last one, party so hard I die! That'll be the end of my list of 10 too. XD
I share those with you. mine: -Becoming A Neurologist/Cardiologist/Pediatrician -Going to at least one Olympic Games (preferable the London games) -Being in a Band -Writing a book for Gay youth -Writing A Famous Song -Being In A Movie/TV I like (even an extra I don't mind) -Learning German and French fluently -Buying a really expensive guitar -Dressing in drag (I would probably only do it once, but it looks fun) -Find true love
I loved The Bucket List! Can I do this too? 1) Travel to England, Scotland, and Ireland 2) Travel to Ghana in West Africa 3) Write a book about my life 4) Meet my son-in-law (long story) 5) Have grandchildren 6) See marriage equality nationwide 7) Be a part of making #6 happen! 8) Have a loving and passionate relationship. (which isn't happening now) 9) Eventually overcome my fear of public speaking which I've already made great strides toward! 10) Meet some of my EC friends.
1. Overcome my addiction to approval 2. Become a physicist (or some sort of scientist. Maybe my interests will change?) 3. Learn French and Russian 4. Conquer Beethoven's sonatas, Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, and Chopin's etudes 5. Go bungee jumping and hang gliding 6. Run a marathon 7. Travel to Scandinavia, Poland, Russia, China, Japan, and Mongolia 8. Cultivate lovingkindness 9. Make a difference somehow (I haven't figured out the specifics yet, but I have some ideas) 10. Find that special someone 1, 2, 8, 9, and 10 are musts. The rest are open to change.
1) Record a new CD with my favorite musicians from my former band 2) Stay healthy enough to enjoy the next 10-15 years with a loving partner 3) Have one of my photos make the cover of a really important magazine 4) See the day when gays are fully accepted in the US Army 5) Write more and do more for gay rights 6) See the following bands in concert again, AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Mother’s Finest 7) Live long enough to see all religions accepting homosexuality as a normal minority 8) Lose about 20 pounds and get some dental work behind me, this year 9) Visit Amsterdam (to watch the tulips grow :icon_wink ) 10) Visit my entire family in the states
Move to Canada Find my soulmate Buy a mini-cooper Read all of the Discworld novels See The Dark Knight in Gold Class Dress up as The Joker and go trick or treating Buy an apartment Work at Pixar...in any capacity, just as long as it's in that building Make/direct a movie Finish my university degree
1. Come out fully 2. Go to + graduate college 3. Release a CD under a major record label 4. See everyone become accepted for who they are during my lifetime 5. Get healthier and feel better about life 6. Visit every country in europe 7. complete and publish my quasi-book 8. go to a circuit party 9. complete the most homosexual opera of all time 10. Find lasting mutual love
Ohhh my go 1. Get into Mensa ~ completed 2. Go to Oxford or Cambridge UNI to study whatever 3. Become fluent in French, Japanese (and maybe Mandarin and/or Russian one day) 4. Find a guy that I really really like (with feelings mutual of course) 5. Visit Moscow, Bejjing, Shanghai, Melbourne, Sydney, Tokyo (and the rest of Japan!!) 6. Travel around Europe 7. Travel around America 8. Break a world record for something memorable and not stupid 9. Make a real difference in someone's life 10. Become as happy as I can be !

Ride a roller coaster (I'm deathly afraid of them) 7. Have that one kiss that overshadows everything else into nothingness 8. Continue to grow as an artist and produce finer work 9. See the end of discrimination based on anything 10. Meet all of you fine folks at some point.
