Have you ever went to a GSA or a similar club?

I went today with my transgender friend and two straight friends. I didn't think I'd like it, and I only went because my friend wanted me to go with him, but I actually enjoyed it. There's some pretty cool people there. I'm glad I went.

I go to my college campus's Pride meetings almost every week. I enjoy them and I have made a ton of friends there.

My college doesn't offer anything because it is still pretty new. In highschool I don't think we had one either, but I didn't know I was gay then. If my school had something, I would totally go.

    Yes and I love them.

Most groups will have their flaws, some might lack leadership and some might be ridcs disorganized, but you can always meet awesome people there and create good friendships. And leading one is an amazing experience that will make you grow as a person.

    An all around yes! lol

There is a meeting tommorow at my school during lunch. I really want to go, but there is one problem. I am not out to anyone yet. Do you think that a GSA is a good place to start? or should I tell my friends first and invite them to come with me? (which they wouldn't) Apparently the club is run by this really nice Lesbian teacher named Mrs. Joy. Because I am only a freshmen though, I don't really know much about it, and I don't really know many of the people at the school. I think it is a good idea though. What percentage of people in GSA are LGBT and what percentage are 'straigh alliances'?

I always chicken out, I do really want to go but I'm not sure I'm ready yet. Hopefully one day I will go to one though, I've always been curious to see how it is.

I volunteer at my university's LGBT center, and I go to most events and meetings. It's a really awesome place and group of people, and I've met some nice people there.

It's a great place to start  when I went the other day there were... 1 transgender person, 2 bisexual people, 2 lesbians, 2 gay guys, and about 7 or so straight people. So like half of them were straight. But if they're going there they're going to be accepting. And I'm a freshman too. I think you should go, and give it a try. You could even see if you like it before actually coming out to anyone there.

I never did till college, but that's because of availability. I love it now that I'm actually involved in one.
