Sure why not? It would be a little weird, but I could have fun with it. I was actually just thinking about this earlier today, weird.

Yes, but then I'd change it. I'm planning on changing my name anyway.

I dunno if I could. I mean, I wouldn't write someone off for it right away, but it'd certainly be weird.

In university, my roommate shared the same name as me and we were in the same program. Having people coming to our door looking for "Adam... oh, I meant Adam in engineering... oh..." was certainly a treat. Now, to have that confusion anytime I was with my significant other? If I can avoid that, I will.

I was one of two Jareds in a really small high school, so there was "smart Jared" and "dumb Jared". (my class was so nice, weren't they?) At least I was the smart one

Sure, I would. Although in my case it, the chances of that happening are slim.

Even though I hate my first name on myself it's certianly not something I'd hold against anyone else for any reason. Least of all the sweet and caring boyfriend with a great personality and sense of humor and every other perfect thing I always dream about. It'd be a rediculous coincidence if that ever happened to me though, cause I don't have a very common name as far as I know.

If he spelled it differently it would be fine. Because I always sign all my personal notes with just a "G", so he could spell Geoffrey with a "J" and I wouldn't care.

Plus it would be cool to scream out my own name during sex...

I would, but my name is so uncommon that there is very little chance of that happening. But if it did - it wouldn't bother me at all. I know of 3 married couples with the same/similar names (granted they are straight - but its still kinda crazy) Alex and Alex, Chris and Kris (ahhh see the spelling is different :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:) and Steve and Steph- which aren't exactly the same, but still pretty close (plus they are truly the cutest couple alive. They have been together since grade 7, and are married with 2 kids and another on the way)

I was just thinking about this a few days ago. And yes I would date someone with the same name, though it'd be pretty rare since my name isn't all that common in my experience anyway.

Well I'm not called by my full given name, but a nickname...But yeah I'd date another guy with my name. I'd even date another with my nickname. It would be kind of funny though.

I've dated someone before with a varied version of my own name. Just subtract a letter and BAM! It wasn't weird at all. After all, a name is just that. Still...I've never much liked that version so nyeh.
