Everyone is afraid of something, many fear dozens. I thought it would be fun if we shared some of our own fears and some of our personal comical 'horror stories'.

    Fear #1 : Germaphobia. D:
Before I begin, I am a reasonable germaphobe. I dont sanitize everything daily. It is closely tied with my slight anxiety so its is essentially the germs of other things or people that I cant take. It can get pretty bad sometimes...

I have a ton of stories for this one, so I will probably share some more later. The funniest one I can think of now is last year when we were watching a movie in a history class. It was for a younger audience so it shouldnt have envoked much emotion out of any of us. But there were dozens of scenes with the most disgusting acts. Before the first 15 minutes were over, the main character had already gotten spat in the face(They didnt pan away either, we got to see full contact close up..) and thrown on a filthy bathroom floor and urinated on multiple times. By the time the scene where they forced a slave to eat feces, I was done. I had my head in my hands the whole time, but the sounds. THE SOUNDS. :tears:.

The most comical part is that the whole class knew. Partially because my friends know how I am, and partially because by the time they were forcing the slave to eat shit, I was shouting "This is just too much. Please dont do this to me." with my head in my lap............

I have more stories and fears, but this is getting long so I will post the rest later.

I'm not a mega germaphobe but i was once in a restaurant toilet, washing my hands, and some guy finished in a cubicle and just walked out. I started to panic and couldn't work out how to open the door without touching the handle so i was stuck in the toilet for about 5 minutes until someone came in and i sort of rushed out before the door closed. It was horrible.

But an actual phobia i have is of earwigs and the story of that is kinda silly.

My mum told me when i was a kid that earwigs are called that because they crawl into your ear, lay eggs and once the eggs hatch, the babies eat your brains. (evil bitch) I know now, 15 years later, that earwigs don't actually do this. But i still cant get over my fear of them, i once saw an earwig on my living room carpet and i jumped on the sofa to get away from it. I looked like an old Tom and Jerry cartoon, screaming for my flatmate to come and get rid of this insect. I'm a big guy as well, so its doubly comical.

I've got an extreme fear of hair. Not all hair, just long twisty hair that gets caught on your clothes and softly tickles your skin... makes me sick when I find hair on me.
I still haven't discovered my reason for this fear, so I have no amusing story to share.

    Germs:
Hey, I'm one as well! Or... at least I used to be. Back in elementary school I would wash my hands religiously to the point where I would rub the skin off. Thankfully I got help and managed to break the fear.

    Sponges:
Again, back in elementary school I was deathly afraid of sponges to the point where my dad burned all of the ones in our home. I reveled in the burning of those nightmarish sponges. Their screams still haunt me to this day. I'm not afraid of them anymore, thankfully.

    Seaweed.
I cannot let it touch my feet when I swim. I freak the shit out.

    Needles:
My one "true" phobia. I start to shake and spasm whenever I get near to one or even if someone mentions the word "needle". It took three nurse along with my mother to hold me down to receive one of my mandatory shots a couple years back.

...That reminds me, I'm almost due for shots again... :***:

I have a horrible fear of spiders. Even little ones no bigger than a thumbnail still freak me out so much.

Probably one of my worst encounters was when a little nest of spider eggs hatched in my room only two weeks ago. The worst thing was that I didn't notice for a while, as I forgot to put in my contacts so everything that was smaller than a pea was a blur. My mum came into my room, and said 'Lark, why are there so many spiders on the ceiling?' By this point, I actually looked around and realised to my horror that practically everything was covered in spiders.
I calmly and quietly asked my mum to get rid of them, walked out of my oom and downstairs, and collapsed on the living room sofa because I was shaking so hard with fear. My parents had to persuade me back into my room after that.

I have a phobia of underwater things. Weeds, submerged logs, slippery rocks... They freak me out so much that if I so much as touch one I scream and swim off as fast as I can. This is quite embarrassing as I am not normally a screamer. I remember on many occasions I'll be swimming along, happy as can be, then suddenly scream, disappear in a cloud of panicked splashing, and then reappear swimming away as fast as I can, shaking horribly. I often get funny looks when that happens.

I'm absolutely terrified of clowns and lizards. I have no idea why, but I won't go anywhere near them.

I have and endless fear of people touching cheese, do not ask why. Also... I'm afraid of clowns. You can thank Stephen King and Pennywise for that. *Shudders*

I have an unreasonable fear of spiders despite the poor things never doing anything bad to me...what's even more unusual however is the fact I love Madam Octa from The Vampire's Assistant. If you haven't seen it, she's basically the most adorable spider ever *w*

There's a Hell of a lot more fears I can list however ._.
I'm scared of: heights, germs, the dark, fireworks, death, having to socialise (D:slight_smile:, ghosts, zombies (only ones that can run), slugs... and more that I can't think of right now because I'm tired.

None of which I have a reason for. Or a story :/

I don't have any huge phobias, but my biggest fear is of geese.

When I was a probably 7 or 8, my brother stole an egg from a goose nest. When I tried to return it, 5 geese attacked me. Ever sense then, I just freeze up whenever I see a flock of geese.

    My brother is a twat.

    Ok....

    Fear #2: Birds

Dont any of you dare laugh, but I have become deathly afraid of birds, specifically what they do...... It started in middleschool/highschool, the birds used to perch on the buildings at lunch and search for food. They were fearless, they would swoop down right over people. Steal food/wrappers immediately as they were dropped. The worst part was that they would purposely fly over people and shit all the time. People laughed and the victims were embarrassed, but being a germaphobe, I would take that extremely hard.

In middleschool, a group of friends and I were talking during lunch. I noticed a bird flying towards us, and had this feeling that something wasnt right... I watched it fly over me and directly above me, I could see it about to 'let go'. I took off running and right as my friends yelled where I was going, the feces hit the open space where I was standing. They have been after me ever since D,:. I was walking down the street a few days ago and I say a crow on a street lamp overlooking the sidewalk. By now I always have a sense of every time they are going to shit, I havent been wrong yet. I felt something with this crow so I decided to walk onto the street around it. Once I was parallel to the light, I hear a splash on the ground....People wont believe me, but they are after me. :tears:.

Its getting really bad. I dash out of the way everytime they fly over me, and if one catchs me by surpise, I scream loudly in horror. I never scream..... I might need help in the future.......

Large Bodies of Water, especially flying over them. I went on an European trip to Amsterdam, Germany, Austria, And Paris, and flying over something that big for that long is terrifying. I'm also horrified at the thought of drowning, perfect combo. :bang::grin::roflmao:

Thats what I was asking the whole way through. :frowning2:. There was an actually point to it, though I cant remember what it was about. But the treatment of the slaves was far too filthy.

I have a huge issue with needles. Last year, i had to get shots for something or another and when the nurse came in she stopped at the door and asked if I was going to attack her and make a run for it. My mom, who is soooo helpful (not), just stood there and laughed

I am incredibly terrified of snails. I saw a cartoon once about snails, and that was a creepy cartoon due to its weird animation and twisted plot. I am not even sure if it was meant for kids. Eventually, it haunted me for years. Snails petrify me.
