Seeing as we talk a lot about the stages of grief in relation to sexuality on here a lot, I thought you guys would get a kick out of more light hearted example. It's pretty funny.

Karl Rove on Fox News: The five stages of conservative grief.

That's pretty funny! It's true though. I had a panel of 5 tv's going in the newsroom and Fox News was really fun to watch just because of their reactions.

Nice, although I think acceptance might never come and they'll be stuck in grief and anger :/

I agree with Aquilo that I doubt that true acceptance will ever come, but I find this hysterical nonetheless.

    That was pretty funny!

Pretty early on in the election coverage I watched, one of the commentators said that the anchors and guests on Fox News weren't in an upbeat mood - realizing the faith of Romney as the results started trickling in.

Fox News was useful last night. When they declared Obama had won, I knew that he had.

The sad thing is, I've already heard various conservative talking heads pointing to how the only reason they lost was because of Sandy. Except that the data compiled by Nate Silver and others soundly trashed that idea; Romney's momentum had flattened long before and Obama was regaining ground.

    Two thoughts come to mind:

God forbid the party figures out that bigotry, pandering to crazy right-wingers and tea party candidates, and having a candidate who has absolutely no concerns about lying his ass off at every turn are actually the reasons they lost. If they ever do, they might actually mount a campaign that stands a chance of winning. I saw one article that indicated that this may, in fact, be a turning point, in that the Republicans realize that every 4 years, more of their rank-and-file die off, and younger people, on the whole, are nowhere near as bigoted and conservative, particularly about things like gay rights.

Second point: If Sandy did, in fact, have a big influence on the election... then why are all these "I put my faith in God" and "It's God will that ___________" people bitching, when clearly God brought Sandy to land to help Obama win. But that would require entirely too much logic and consistency of thought
