what is going on in new jersey?! there's like 6 inches of snow outside and it's still snowing, there's a tree lying across my street (that would have landed on my car if a magical neighbor hadn't suggested i move my car because the tree i park by was hanging right on top of it), and everything is weighted down by snow. a tree fell on my friend's front porch. NJ is just going to sink right into the ocean.

Snow is very common, but not this level of destruction. There are fallen trees everywhere and our power was out again for a couple of days.

The 'storm of the century' was Sandy. This Nor'easter hitting so soon after was just compounding the problem.

How is 6 inches the storm of the century? We've gotten over two feet a few times where I live.

It was 6 and ended around 14, it took down more trees than anything I've witnessed in my life, and we just got our power back (again) last night. I count everything from Sandy to the snow as the storm of the century. The whole week and a half. Sandy brought the noreaster.

And today was so hot I wore a tank top! We have JCP&L. I think my street was the last to regain power in this township after the snow. And watching the sky light up blue/green as the transformers blew was crazy!
