I'm just curious. Am I the only guy who gets turned off by a fem gay? NO disrespect intended. I have several fem friends tht I love to be around. I just prefer a more athletic, masculine kinda guy

What about an athletic, femme guy? Femme guys can be athletic too, and I don't understand how the default is that femmes wouldn't be...

People have their gender presentation preferences, so I can understand that. I'm fine with either masculine or feminine guys, and I could see myself dating both.

As long as the guys you are attracted to have healthy masculinity.

Oh man. You're going to have a hard time finding prospective partners if that's the case.

To say you aren't really attracted to effeminate guys is one thing, but I take issue with people saying they're a turn-off.

    Agreed.

I'm not attracted to effeminate guys, but that doesn't mean they're a "turnoff" for others.

Same here. That's going down the gender presentation war path. And we've been down that path too many times on EC.

Most definitely not, I'm the same. Without being offensive/disrespectful, it's the masculine aspects of a man that make them attractive. Dating an overly feminine guy would feel like I was dating a girl...and that's not what I want.

Why would anybody ever want to be with a masculine guy...?

I guess for me I just prefer someone that's a.. well a man! I mean, if I wanted to date something fem I'd just date a girl -__-

    And that's where problems begin.

What would you describe as 'feminine'? Gay lisp/flamboyancy/'camp'? Or is it more fashion/pop music tastes?

Essentially, is it feminine personality or the practice of femininity you don't like? Is it the combination of both or are each 'turn offs' for you?

And I'll warn you, what you said is incredibly rude about 'dating a man' and obviously hurtful to people, including some EC members. I have a penis, am I not a man?

This thread is going nowhere fast. I think I'd be called a femme gay by a lot of people on EC, which is fine--but I basically run a half-marathon every week, and I rehabilitate heroin addicts, and also help bust up drug rings in my hometown and the surrounding area. I'll get a badge and a gun of my own at some point down the line. And I'll holster them both on a designer belt, over my neon skinny fit chinos. So? How feminine/masculine am I? Because I'm pretty sure my balls are just as big if not bigger than 90% or more of the people's that have posted in this thread. Maybe you're not man enough for me? Get off those high horses, fellas. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. But I really am sick of seeing these threads. If you don't like "feminine" guys, that's fine. No one said you had to. But let's keep the bashing to a minimum. I totally believe you when you say you didn't mean to offend anyone, but that's really the only thing this thread is going to do.
