Just curious. Also, there was a limit of 20 options :frowning2: Sorry to all of you who I couldn't include. Post below I guess.

My grandpa is from Argentina, but he never taught my mom Spanish. I have family there I can't communicate with, and it sucks.

...I also really want to learn French, as it's not great to be politically involved in a bilingual country and not speak both languages. Growing up on the West Coast, French isn't spoken at all. I didn't realize it was important until I was past all options to take it in school.

Of those options, I'll have to go with Arabic, as I'd love to read the Qur'an in the original. However, the number one language I want to learn is Biblical Hebrew.

My only two spoken languages as of now are English and Russian.

As for what I'd like to learn... German (I only learned/retained the basics in High Schools), Dutch, Frisian, Swedish and Old English/Anglo-Saxon.

Yeah, as you can tell I am quite partial to the Germanic languages.

Well, and Hebrew I suppose... Though not sure whether I'd want to learn the Biblical or the modern Israeli version.. I can already read in Hebrew verse, but have only a very limited vocabulary of the words that pertain to religious liturgy and theological concepts in Judaism.

I might end up learning some Korean if I wind up going there to teach English, which is a fairly big possibility in the next year.

I choose Japaese, because I want to live there one day, and ANIMEEEE!!!! I was research how Japan works, the school system, everyday life, etc, and It sounds a lot more fun to me.
My second chose would be American sign language, because I think hand motiond are cool. When I hear my favorite song, I wanna sing, but my voice is terrible. So, ASL will be like singing sort of or at least you can express things that way ^^

German. My ex-crush speaks it so I'm kinda biased in wanting to learn it :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: If there were a second option, I would love to be fluent in French as well.

I clicked on French, but in addition to that, it would be Swedish (mainly because I love the way the language sounds) and Italian.

I am hoping to study abroad/travel/live in Japan later, so learning the language would be helpful.

    Japanese!

Swedish has a very appealing springy quality to it, I agree. Very light on the tongue.
