I think something is up and I'm surprised those pictures surfaced. In the business it's harder to get roles if you're out and gay. The business doesn't really seem to put rumors behind rumored to be gay - actors can act in films and tv as gay characters for example, and there can be rumors about them but it would never hurt their career. Here - they went out of their way seemingly to try to get rid of any traces linking back to those photos and possibly others. They wouldn't really do that if there wasn't something to hide.
That was part of a movie too, so that could also just be acting. I guess we really can't know which of the two jobs was just him acting unless he eventually comes out. My first thought about the picture was photoshopped, but I guess it was actually a real picture in a magazine.

I'm sure all of you know that he has publicly came out as a gay man. However, a few weeks prior to his announcement, someone had asked me this very question about him and I had responded with in my opinion, I believe he is gay, but in the closet. The guy asked me why I thought he was and I told him that when I look at his pictures, he just gave off this persona that I found him not convincingly straight. Well, would do you know...I see I was correct in my analogy.
I found out he was gay last night and I fanboyed so hard and then spent about an hour flicking through The Arrow casts Instagram. I love Colton, he's an amazing actor and now a great LGBT rolemodel.
