    Right

So at the start of my new job when I was training we were all put into pairs to train on the checkouts. So as you do you begin chatting and told my female co worker that am gay. I mean I didn't just blurt it out. We wee talking about how I have trouble socialising and somehow find it easier talking to women and she sorta guessed.

Anyways forward a month later and we were chatting in the aisle when I told her that I find it hard talking to people because I'm worried about what they will think if they found out I was gay. But then she said "it's obvious to me" and I was like "what" am not overly flamboyant but I dunno... Is it obvious and I just don't realise it. By the way her son is gay so that might be why but still... Obvious, really... Not that am bothered but how is it?

Has anyone else told you it's obvious?

On the contrary for me, which is ironic because I was teased about being gay when I was in elementary school through middle school often as I was an outcast. When I was a freshman a few people made jokes about me being gay, but no less than any other kid. Past that, everyone assumes i'm straight and i've even had several offers by girls taking an interest in me (which I guess is flattering given I used to think I was a trainwreck) and even dated a girl that I really liked because I was in denial.

In other words, sort of but not really.

I think it varies between people. I don't know if they're joking or just like to pretend they're know it all. I had one guy thought I was straight despite me wearing a purple blazer. There's also a time when someone told me "hey girl, what's up?". Lol! So I guess it's not about you, I think it's other people's ability to sense.

I don't think I'm flaming, necessarily, or act overtly 'gay' unless I'm trying to for my friends' comic appetites, but I've been told by one friend that I ooze 'gay,' and by another that she was disappointed to find out I wasn't straight, because she loves the way I play with her hair. It just varies person to person, I guess... 'gaydar' and all :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
