    I'm curious as to what kind of lights do you guys put on a Christmas tree? I've always used regular ones because they have a certain charm that I don't think can be replaced with anything else, but last year I decided to buy LEDs. Apparently, they're less power consuming and the colors are really intense. And they don't burn out nearly as often. Think I will use both from now on. How about you?

    Now its 50/50 lol but i like LEDs because of they way they shine and the whole power thing haha :slight_smile:

    i feel like such a 'light' dunce.... i dont know what either are, well i know led are brighter.... arent they the ones that towns xmas decs are?

    eithr way i just usually like the normal ones.... i found some ones with snowflakes on this year tho :grin:

    We use LED lights now. They last longer that the other lights. We don't kill them as quickly.

    Well, these are incandescent and these are LED. Hope this helps :icon_wink. LEDs seem to be gaining more and more popularity recently and they don't require as much power, so they're more likely to be used for city decoration.

    I love both. Although I thought this poll would encompass the whole colored vs. white light debate... xD

    My light collection consists entirely of incandescents at the moment - merely because the LED craze hasn't reached my corner of the state yet (no surprise; we tend to run a few years behind environmentally concerned trends...) But I've got everything from lights that look like the M&M's characters to chilli peppers and cupcakes in my collection too.

    My house uses incandescent ones because we always have and I think they look prettier. However, Dad has LED ones as his are new and were bought to decorate an artificial tree.

    I like most of the LED ones, except the blue ones....they really hurt my eyes.

    I like LEDS they give a more evenly glow, if that makes sense lol! Plus, LEDS like last for ever. So, you don't have to change the bulb as often.

    We have the tiny incandescent bulbs. I don't really like the LED ones for some reason :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    led for me I always had the lights blinking fast. my mum us to go mad at me say`s they brought on a migraine .

    I love lights in general :slight_smile:

    Inside: My trees are mostly LED, because they use almost nothing as far as power goes...and the colors are awesome. I also have some incandescents, because I like the type of sets they are (and can't be duplicated by LED). I also have a few fluorescent's being used for xmas (real fluorescent's - not CFL's)

    Outside: All 'white', but both LED and Incandescent (treating them as 2 different "colors", I just swap between them)

    I have three Christmas trees - they're not very tall, but I like the "mini-forest" look of having a couple trees instead of just one. Two have white lights, the other has mulit-colored. I think they're all LED.

    I dunno... I like the nostalgic, classic, charm of the incandescent bulbs. But I love the sharpness of the LED lights. Can't choose... but if I had my own place, and my own tree, I'd probs get some LED lights.
