So the pride center here throws a Queer Prom every year for teens 14-20 or something like that. I have always wanted to go even when I wasn't out. Regular high schools don't allow gay couples into dances and so thats why it's a big deal. Anyone else hear of one of these,been to one, or want the same?
I am 19 and I want one I want to grab a guy's waist and stare at his face or something in dark dancing lights
I've heard of a lot of them-- like club venues hosting them for particular ages. I think it'd be fun to go, but only with someone I'd love dancing with, and that's not a lot of guys.
Sounds fantastic. I wish we had one at my high school. My college has queer events. I have yet to attend one though.
I almost went to one, although it wasn't really a prom, just an LGBT dance party. I wasn't out to family but a transgender friend offered a ride to the place, but sadly she could not doit in the last minute, and so I could not go. I would love to go to one, but in my country (Brazil) there is more homophobia, so maybe there aren't any here :-( My Americsn school did allow two boys and two girls to go to prom together, but I've never seen such a case happening. It might be just a matter of time or a proof of an "easier said than done" saying.
