So I was reading the local paper today, for some unknown reason, and I stumbled across this headline which misspelt the word your as you're. I tried reading the headline a few times to see if it was some sort of pun, but unless I'm stupid, there was none there. I realise headlines are there to draw readers' attention to the article, but that was a really random way of getting my attention... so I read the article. I really wonder how little goes on in this area if a story like this gets a huge space in the paper. I've attached it below, highlighting some bits that I thought were a bit of a laugh!
Wow sounds like my hometown! hahahhaa we're a retirement community over here too. Poor elderly and their postboxes. Anyways isn't there a movie where Typo's in the newspaper are actually secret messages?
I think they need to hire better proofreaders but yeah, that looks like my hometown paper too. Not much content.
