Epigenetics may be a critical factor contributing to homosexuality, study suggests Not that I need any justification in relation to my sexuality, but I found it to be an interesting article nonetheless.
Reference to the article was posted by someone else earlier last week. I told myself that I'd give the actual paper in the Quarterly Review of Biology a thorough read, but haven't done that yet. But Epi-markers.... that's a new term for me (For previous discussion, see http://emptyclosets.com/forum/lgbt-...e-finally-unlocked-puzzle-why-people-gay.html)
I wouldn't call it a justification but I am VERY eager to at least understand what causes homosexuality. I had no idea about these marker either. The idea that genes can be directed by them is pretty facinating. It sounds like a plausible contribution factor as well! Not that I'm a geneticist or anything. -.- Nice find!
