What do you think is the most awkward thing about being an LGBT person?

I think it's being naked in the shower and getting turned on by your own body. :icon_redf Does that happen to anyone else?

I find it awkward when i'm watching TV or a movie with my family and a hot shirtless guy will come on and i won't know where to look or how to act! haha it's like if i stare it will look like i'm interested so i try to look away but i feel really stupid and it's just awkward :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

hehe iBlakexo I get that too! The other night, I was at a bar and this GOD walked up to the bar where i was standing. I think I mustve looked like a deer in the headlights to him as i just stared and said 'hello' but I think it came out as a squeak. lol

I don't like mirrors at all. If I see my reflection I'll freak, but only for a moment. It's almost as if I forget sometimes that I have what I call my birth defect. (Wrong Body)

Yet on the other hand I obsess over my weight and skin care despite the fact that I'm only 120lbs and have skin like a baby's from obsessive lotioning.

Gettin' turned on by your own body sounds more like a you-thing than a gay-thing. At least to me anyway. I'm not in-tuned with what's what in the overall LGBT culture/community, so there could be lots of others who have experienced that and acknowledge as something connected with being homosexual. Eh...still seems a bit weird.

Uh...awkward about LGBT...being an introvert in an extroverted culture probably is the main, general thing for me. Honestly asking me what's awkward about being LGBT is like asking me what's awkward about being alive? Everything.

I'm an awkward person by nature. LGBT has no special factor.

Most awkward thing for me personally, is being in the closet and people assuming you're Straight.

    "Got a Girlfriend yet?"

    *Poker Face*

    "No" :astonished:

This isn't "awkward" as such, but hating myself for being the wrong sex.

The most awkward thing....when you like a girl and she keeps talking about her boyfriend and how gays make her uncomfortable.

I feel like I can't comment on how a person looks. Male or female. Like if I do they will know

For me, it's the thought that if I tell anybody I'm bi, they'll think I'm checking them out. Worse than that is they're probably right. XD

Yep I feel really awkward when people ask me about boys and I don't really know what to say. I also find it awkward when I'm watching a kissing/love scene and I say something like "lucky" and they think I'm saying the girl is lucky but I actually mean I'm jealous of the guy. lol

Being certain that someone is LGBT, and saying something to them and being completely wrong and then trying to figure out what to say next (usually an awkward silence). Which happened yesterday with a coworker.

Being able to feel parts that only the opposite sex has, as if they're your own...when in reality there's nothing there.

Being trans can be awkward when you're in the closet about it. I have some really close family friends, and they said they'd get me something for christmas from topshop, so they kept showing me pictures of pretty dresses and skirts like "I could get you these?" And I was like HOW DO I TELL YOU I'D RATHER HAVE MORE BOXER SHORTS AND A NEW TIE WITHOUT COMING OUT OH GODS.
