I never expected anything to happen on 12-21-2012, at least not anything man made. it was not out of the realms of possbility in my mind for there to be suicide cults, lunatics trying to harm others, and other manmade situations, but I thought, for the last 20 years since a non-academic started pushing the disproven notion that the Mayan's believed in an end of times happening at the end of the current calender cycle, that nothing would happen. anyone gratified, or disappointed?
Well... I guess that this means that I get to have fun last minute Christmas shopping. Ohh.. wait, I do that every year..
I thought it was hilarious that of all days, Gangnam Style reached 1 billion views yesterday. We could all have horsey danced our way through the apocalypse.
Haha so true!! I'm really happy, it means my plan of going to a gay bar in the near future might be out into practice lol. It sucks that a lot of depressed people committed suicide before yesterday...
I seriously believe that the only reason that video is so popular is because of the dance to it. . . Example: The Macerana (I totally spelled that wrong. . .) But, in the final battle of the zombie apocalypse, we could use that song to scare the zombies off.
- I can now say I lived through Y2K and 12/21/12. - That .1% of me which thought something will happen is completely dead and I'll never allow myself to believe in even that much in one of these bullshit predictions [don't judge me for having done so to begin with....] - Seems strange that the day the world was supposed to end, we got our first snowfall here since the end of November.
I seem to already have effectively quarantined myself [as I'm mostly unfamiliar with any pop music,] so I think I'm good there.
I love that on the 21st in my neck of the woods, it was perfect weather. 23 degrees Celsius, bright blue sky.
I was at families on the coast, and I was sleeping in the room where they keep the noaa emergency radio. I half expected it to go off at 3 am with a tsunami warning. ---------- Post added 22nd Dec 2012 at 09:32 PM ---------- oh, and my sleeping mine gave me a sex dream the morning of the 21st; guess it wanted to go out with a bang, just in case. oh Neil Patrick Harris, we will always have that night we spent together, even if only I experinced it, cause it was in my head; I was a most amazing lover.
I'm more intrigued at how many STDs get diagnosed in the next few weeks, and how many babies are born near the end of next year. ;P I never expected anything, so there's no let down/etc. feeling. xD
