I'm glad my life has gone in the direction that being gay has allowed it to go. I spent four years working for a queer organisation, and through that I met my closest friends and found a place to belong and feel worthwhile.

I won't say I'm happy about being gay. I'm getting there though. As Maddy said, I've finally found a place where I feel like I belong, so I guess it's not all bad.

I've not voted since none of the options really seem to fit. Not yet anyway

At the moment I've accepted it and I'm putting up with it, feeling sorry for yourself is a waste of time. Hopefully in the future I'll be happy about it.

I kind of wish I wasn't because I hate negative attention and obviously being straight would make my life much easier in that way. However, now I am gay, I find guys so attractive that it makes me sad to think of being straight :3

    I used to hate it.
    Then tolerate it.
    Then accept it.
    Then love it.

I guess. I mean I don't really know any different, being gay is apart of who I am. I'm as happy as I am about having brown hair, I can live with it. I do think being straight would be kinda boring though, I couldn't imagine feeling the same about a girl. Men are much more interesting to me.

Don't really have a choice, so I may as well get on without complaining.

I don't like it but it is what it is. No point feeling bad about it anymore as it's counterproductive.

Being trans and gay kinda sucks. I'm always having to fight for my friends to see me as one of the lads which is hard to do when you're not out picking up chicks. Sometimes I think about pulling women just to fit in a bit more.

Well.. I'm bi. I'm happy the people have told accept it, but I'd rather everybody accept it and have it not be such a big deal...

I am fully accepting of myself, and glad I like women! Female body is nifty, it`d be a shame if I didn`t like it the way I do

I'm happy with finally coming to terms with myself but I'm not sure I'm happy with being gay just yet.

    Mostly Happy

The things that do bug me are the fact's that your dating pool is small. I don't particually like the fact that theres not much of a *non scene* scene here (meetup's that don't involve alcohol venues, or at least not a lot) or the fact that there just isn't much there for gay/bi women fullstop.

On the whole I'm proud but these setbacks are noticeable from my eyes

I'm happy with it myself, would be easier if I wasn't though because I wouldn't have to worry about other peoples opinions. Being gay is part of me, no point wishing I weren't because I can't change who I am, I just accept it and be myself.

  19. I'm not unhappy towards the fact I'm gay I'm unhappy towards the fact there are so many homophobic bigots in the world.

I guess I have to live with it. Happyness has eluded me several years ago.
