It could end humanity because if gay marriage were legal, it would encourage EVERYONE to be gay. Then what? Nobody would be left to reproduce! It would be Armagaydon!
This was actually a major fear back in the middle ages. This was either because of religion which mostly said sex was a sin unless your doing it to make babies on it could have been because of the inability to make a will. In the olden days if you died and had money it went to your closest male relative, no arguments. So if you left a widow and daughters they would be in poverty and possibly starve to death unless you had a live male son. This meant that people wanted loads of kids since girls were no help at all in this case and their was such a high mortality rate that if you did have a son he might die before his father. Personally I believe the idea of a gay apocalypse is wonderful especially since it wouldn't actually be the end of the human race today. I also think almost every gay person has had the thought "why can't everyone else just be gay to?" and would thoroughly enjoy it if they were.
Also people would still have children. Men would still donate sperm and such. Now a days you don't have to actually have sex to get pregnant.
Oh, but didn't you know the next thing we have to do? Think about it If everyone in the world was male, the species would die out! This means we have to keep all the dudes out of sight -- nobody would want them to corrupt our children and turn them trans, the horror!
