Same Love - Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Mary Lambert

I think it's the only song that has moved me to tears. He's so respectable because he brought the issue of marriage equality into the world of rap - which you seldom see. Artists like Macklemore restore my faith in not only music, but humanity as well.

Connect (Orchestral Version) - ClariS - YouTube

The original is good, too. It probably won't make you cry if you haven't seen the show it's from (Puella Magi Madoka Magica), but it's brought me to the verge of tears several times. Actually, pretty much anything from the soundtrack can make me cry, even the happy stuff. It's just that kind of show.

An honorable mention that's not from PMMM:

Pleiades - Julia Kent - YouTube

Again, most things by this artist are pretty moving.

That Ou Est Le Swimming Pool track is pretty haunting considering what happened to the lead singer and Placebo's Kate Bush cover is lovely. Oasis. Oasis can fuck off though.

This isn't too pleasant. I love the contrast between the meaning of the lyrics and how animated the music is. I used to listen to loads of Former Ghosts but I don't listen to sad music... ever, really.

edit: I forgot the thread title was 'moving' and not 'sad'/'depressing'.

A song alone has never caused me to cry. There always needs to be something else with the song in order for it to make my eyes teary. However, I find this song particularly moving. The chord progressions along with her voice are powerful and amazing.

This is a pretty moving song to me. I think it can be cry worthy depending on what situation you apply the song to, lol. Personally it's one I'd like played at my wedding reception maybe..
