It's for liability reasons. Empty Closets cannot afford to get sued if there's an instance of sexual predation with someone coming in, seducing a member, and doing something bad. As a result, no member is allowed to publicly communicate personal contact information. By posting over 50 posts (quality posts, not just like "lol, I agree") in various subforums and demonstrating trustworthiness in the community, you can apply for full membership, and when you are accepted, you will be able to personally contact other full members.
