It has been over a week since the new year and I was just wondering who has kept their resolution so far, and who has broken it.

    I didn't make one so I can't say anything.

Didn't make any. I've noticed that when I consciously and decidedly make New Year's resolutions, I never keep them. However, if I just say things to myself in a nonchalant manner, like "Gee, I wish I would lose some weight this year" or "Gee, it would be nice if I'd get more comfortable in my sexuality", they tend to come true.

I made a resolution to quit facebook, stop self-induced crying, and stop cutting my arm. So far facebook and cutting is dealt with, but I still purposely make myself cry by putting on classical music and Christmas songs. I don't know why, but I love the feeling of sorrow which is why I do this.

I've kept mine, which was to give up soda. Granted, it's only been 8 days.

There is nothing wrong with a good cry, it can be healthy. And congratulations on not cutting, that is great (*hug*)

My last resolution was to never have another New Years Resolution. That was two years ago, and I've been rather successful so far! lol

I feel that there is no reason to wait to start something on the first of the year. Why not just go at it today?

Thanks! But the main the reason I tried to quit crying was because multiple times last year I ended up crying way too much. My blankets literally were drenched in tears and I had to re-hydrate. I really started worrying when I couldn't stop crying, which made me cry even more! The day after my eyes were EXTREMELY dry. I felt terrible for the next few days and got prescribed eye drops. I still have the eye drops and apply them whenever I cry that much again. I didn't want to ever cry that much again, so I New Year's resolved to just cry when I really needed to.

A weird part about the resolution, I didn't stop cutting because I used it to cope, I cutted because I loved the taste of my blood. I would literally take a blade and suck the blood from the wounds. I knew this was unhealthy and probably not vegetarian, so I quit. So far so good

I didn't make one, because I've been proceeding forth with my previous goal made earlier last year to become a weapon.

Didn't make one... although I should because I always kind of enjoy them.

Maybe try new things at college? Because I've been bored lately. Should try to join a new club or something. Make a new friend maybs

My resolutions were things I wanted to achieve over the course of the year, rather than things I had to do from the beginning. As such, I can't break them till the end of the year.

i dont, but i read if you try to quit and fail, don't feel down...it evidently takes many many tries. All habits are hard to break.

Come out to more people -- Good start! Definitely kept this one so far.

Cut down on alcohol -- Ehh, yeah. Haven't exactly kept this one.

What else did I say I'd do? I don't remember!

I had the exact same resolution for this year! Years before I'd always managed to break all of them, so why make any? A year is always too long to stay at few resolutions, today is today!

My resolution was to improve my life and cut certain people out. I haven't broken any but I certainly haven't started anything. :eusa_doh:
